A Rusk man, arrested during the execution of a search warrant Sept. 28, has been charged with nine additional crimes thanks to existing Anderson County warrants for his arrest.
Belvis Singletary, 31, was taken into custody Friday morning after a narcotics sting, conducted by the Rusk Police Department and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, located 22 grams of cocaine and approximately five ounces of marijuana in a building just north of Rusk. Investigators also found scales and packaging materials which indicate that the confiscated drugs were intended for distribution.
Two charges were initially filed against Singletary, manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance (bond set at $32,000) and possession of marijuana ($4,000), however, nine extra charges have now been added to the tally, all out of Anderson County:
• two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver;
• two counts of possession of a controlled substance;
• delivery of marijuana between four and five pounds;
• resisting arrest;
• evading arrest;
• possession of marijuana; and
• unlawful possession of a firearm.
The nine new charges bring Singletary’s bond total to $150,750, and he is being held.
Cabrina Session was also arrested during Friday’s drug bust and charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, but no additional charges have been filed against her.
