Alexander, Ragsdale engaged

— Mr. and Mrs. James Slayton of Jacksonville and Mr. and Mrs. Billy P. Alexander of Longview announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Stacey Lynn Alexander to Mr. John Edward Ragsdale, son of Mr. Randy Ragsdale and Ms. Donna Ragsdale of Jacksonville.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Dorothy Reid and the late Morris Reid and Mr. Billy R. Alexander and the late Patsy Alexander of Longview and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Slayton of Jacksonville.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Lorene Ragsdale and the late Homer Ragsdale and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brady, all of Jacksonville.
The wedding will take place Jan. 6, 2008, aboard the Voyager of the Seas in Galveston.
The bride-elect is employed with Omnicare in Tyler. She will graduate from the University of Texas at Tyler in May.
The groom-elect is employed with Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Rusk.
Following a honeymoon to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Jacksonville. A reception will be given at a later date to honor the marriage of the couple.
