Bullard girls down Alto, 77-27
BULLARD — Three players hit in double figures as the Lady Panthers rolled to a 77-27 win over Alto in non-district girls basketball action.
Kanda Carter, Elisa Lee and Mallory Red had 12 points each for Bullard. Other scorers were; Amber Baker 7, Clarissa Kendrick 2, Ashley McConnell 6, Natalie Gray 7, Kayla Welling 3 points.
For Alto, the scoring was led by 20 points from Amber Morrison. Other scorers were: Paneshia Pope, Molly Pearman, Laquedequel Tyler 2 each and Sharenza Green 1 point.
Bullard won the JV game, 58-7.
The Lady Panthers are 11-7.
Bullard will play Malakoff at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28 in the Frankston Classic.
Troup girls edge West Rusk
TROUP — Janna Ross came up big with 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Lady Tigers to a 37-35 district win over West Rusk.
Troup (9-7, 3-0) got 12 points by Alysha Barton in the win.
Troup will play Union Grove at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 28 in the Gladewater Classic.
Troup Tigers lose to Raiders
TROUP — Cordell Jiles had 15 points for Troup, but it wasn’t enough as the Tigers lost 39-35 to West Rusk in district boys basketball competition.
Troup falls to 0-1 in district play. The Tigers will play van at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 27 in the Wagstaff Holiday Classic in Tyler.
Frankston blasts Blooming Grove, 55-32
FRANKSTON — Bryan Blackwell pumped in 16 points as the Frankston Indians took a 55-32 win over Blooming Grove Tuesday night.
Colby Coleman added 10 points for the Indians. Other scorers were: Oliver Hatton 6, Orlando Hatton 3, Ketrick Harmon, Waymond Coleman 7 each, Jacob Whitehurst 6.
Frankston is 11-4 overall, 1-0 in district. The Indians host Cushing at 7 p.m. Dec. 28 in the Frankston Classic.
Brook Hill wins soccer match
BULLARD — The Brook Hill soccer team recorded a 6-0 win over Canyon Creek in recent competition.
Kent Kim had two goals for lead the Guard.
Also in the game Jeff Kamel had a goal and two assists. Sang Yoon Lee, Han Jun Kee and Shelby Rozell had one goal each. Hee Chan Chang and Chris Lee had one assist each.
The next game for Brook Hill is after Christmas break, Jan. 8 against Carrollton Christian in Bullard at 6 p.m.
