Clarification for my June 5 letter regarding the mayoral runoff election.
I named the Lake Jacksonville Association as having heard my friends' variance request; when in reality it was the Lake Jacksonville Advisory Board, which is appointed by the City and whose duty it is to conduct this type hearing. They were fair minded and thorough.
It is imperative that the City makes sure new Lake lot leaseholders know the rules. When the City receives notification of the change of leaseholders, a letter should be sent from the City advising the new leaseholders to familiarize themselves with Ordinances and other regulations which are available on line, or a copy may be obtained at the City office.
My main concern is that all new Lake Jacksonville leaseholders are made to know what is expected of them and made to feel welcome.
