LETTER TO THE EDITOR: I was the one accustomed to being the caregiver

Jacksonville Daily Progress

JACKSONVILLE — I just wanted to give many “Thank Yous” to the responders that assisted me during the MVA I was involved in this past Friday, 10/04/13 AM on North Jackson St.

Being a RN for 21 years, I am the one who is accustomed to being the caregiver.

In this situation, I was pinned inside of my car, injured and at the mercy of others. Everyone was so organized, efficient and very caring and polite.

I was in a state of shock so I apologize that I did not remember everyone’s names.

I thank the EMTs/paramedics (who kept my spirits up during the ambulance ride and at the ER), police officer Shobert and passerby citizens.

I also want to thank the staff at TMF ER who did a great job. I have visited them many times for the care of my mother but this was the first visit for myself.

And, I want to thank my fellow field nurses/coworkers. I could never make it without them. They came to the crash site and the ER. God Bless all of you!
