What does Klein Animal Shelter do with animals?

JACKSONVILLE — I’d like to add to Mr. Hall’s letter, what a joke Klein Animal Shelter has become. One of my dogs died of natural causes, I needed one for a buddy for my existing dog (approx. 12 years old), ask for a female bird dog, the kind I have, nothing ever happened. So I went there to adopt just a dog, one in the back was OK, filled out the paper work, have never heard a word.

What do they do with these animals? Canton-rendering plant-experiments or just kill them. Who is responsible for overseeing this place, city, county or state? Do they have a panel of knowledgeable people making these rules and regulations? Just guessing, I’d say “NO.”

These people draws tax dollars. I will ask the commissioners why my tax dollars are wasted on this place?

  • Discarded and forgotten

Family reunions are a tradition worldwide, I suppose. I’ve read the Kennedy’s do them; I have enjoyed movies of poignant, funny, even deadly gatherings of clans both small and great.

  • Kudos to shelter’s response to criticism

Miss Wallace’s response to the criticisms of the Klein Animal Shelter is one of the most articulate, erudite and intellectually honest letters to the editor I have ever read.
