Hunter, Griffin to marry

Mary Evelyn Hunter and Reginald Lewis Griffin are announcing their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be resides in Mesquite and is employed by the Mesquite Independent School District. She is the daughter of Arvella Hunter of Jacksonville and the late Muriel Hunter.

The prospective groom lives in Tyler and works for Goodyear Tire and Rubber. He is the son of the late Lewis Griffin and the late Martha Eldoris Francis. He was reared by his aunts and uncles, Henry and Tommy Francis, Verlee Mumphry, Ernest Campbell, Edith Moore, Raymond Francis, LeRoy Francis Sr. and the late Milton Francis Jr.

The wedding ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. July 26 at Sweet Union Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
