Thompson,Norwood engaged to marry

Sue Ann and David Joseph of Jacksonville and Duane Thompson of Rusk are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Nicole Thompson of Rusk, to Clinton Harding Norwood of Rusk, son of Jack and Anita Woody of Rusk and Mark and Joanie Norwood of McKinney.

The ceremony will take place on Friday, Sept. 5, at Castle on the Lake in Jacksonville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ann Spurgeon and the late Paul Spurgeon, Opal and Bud Cariker and Marshall and Kathy Thompson, all of Rusk. She is currently a student at Tarrant County College.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Lewis and Betty McCrary and Pat Hillman, all of Rusk, and Jack Woody Sr. of Palestine. He is employed at Helmerich and Payne Drilling.
