Sekula gets sculpture intense

Arthur Sekula, Rusk Jr. High and High School art instructor, recently participated in a "sculpture intensive" study with John Sherrill Houser. The three-day workshop in Santa Fe, N.M. allowed participants from several states to receive personal guidance in practical clay-handling, structure, and composition in-studio.

Houser is perhaps best known from the PBS documentary "The Last Conquistador." His father was also a gifted sculptor who was an assistant on the Mt. Rushmore Memorial.
