Mullinax, McDonald set wedding date

Lynell and Mike Mullinax of Rowlett and Elaine and Zane McDonald of Jacksonville are proud to announce the engaement of their children, Meredith Ashley Mullinaxson and Vance Jackson McDonald, to be married at 6 p.m. Oct. 10, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Bullard.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Rowlett High School. She moved on to Sam Houston State University in Huntsville where she graduated in May 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing, also minoring in Spanish. Meredith has also been a Diamond Kat member in college for three years, leding as president for two. She is currently employeed as the Marketing Coordinator of SHSU Athletics.

The groom-to-be is a 2004 Jacksonville High School graduate. He later graduated from SHSU in December 2009, double majoring in forensic chemistry and criminal justice. Vance has also been a SHSU Baseball Club member for three years, serving as president for one year, and he is active in all intramural sports. He is currently employeed as the SHSU Intramural Sports Officiant.
