Hardys mark 50 years

The children and grandchildren honored Bob and Carol Hardy of Mt. Selman with a 50th wedding anniversary party on Sunday, Oct. 26, at Mt. Selman Baptist Church.

The Hardys were married on Oct. 25, 1958, at the home of Carol Hardy’s parents, Ervin and Emma McCaa, in Alto. The couple has lived in East Texas for 50 years.

Bob Hardy was employed with Kelly Springfield as an area manager and classifier for 36 years. Carol Hardy committed her life to her family and raised two sons.

Children include Sgt. Bob Hardy and his wife Vickie, of Oahu, Hawaii, and Tony Hardy and his wife Angie of Rusk.

The couple have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
