The Cherokee County Commissioner’s Court will meet at 10 a.m. Monday at the county courthouse for what could potentially be a very short session.
Bids were opened May 1 for a used pulverizer mixer to be used by Precinct 2. The commissioners will vote to determine whether or not to accept one of the submitted bids and purchase the vehicle.
Sheriff James Campbell will be present Monday to submit his department’s monthly report. The court will also consider adopting a proclamation declaring May as Elder Abuse Prevention Month.
Other agenda items include:
• considering laying utility lines in each precinct;
• approval of a hanger lease agreement at the Cherokee County Airport;
• approval of the monthly report from L.H. Crockett, county auditor;
• approval of the monthly report from Lynn Kelley, constable of Precinct 1;
• approval of the monthly report from Eddie Lee, constable of Precinct 3;
• approval of the monthly report from Ricky Moore, license and weight officer;
• approval of the minutes from previous meetings; and
• paying the bills.
The Cherokee County Commissioner’s Court regularly meets at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month, at the county courthouse. The public is invited to attend all meetings.
