The Bullard High School Panther Marching Band received First Division superior ratings from all three judges at the Region XXI UIL Marching Contest on, Oct. 19, held on the campus of Longview High School.
Judge Randy Jones, director of bands from North Lamar High School said “very well done today! Great attention to detail, style and technique. Great marching and drill design. Thank you for your hard work, time, effort and dedication!”
Judge Eric Gray, director of bands from Gilmer High School said “nice quality ensemble sound throughout the band. Attention to style on the music is good. Lastly, band makes great sounds and marches well!”
Judge Gary Monroe former band director from Mesquite High School said “Nice sounds from performers! Saxophones did especially well. Thank you for performing today and congratulations!”
This is the first of three steps to a UIL Sweepstakes Award.
The UIL sight-reading contest and UIL concert contest will be held on April 29 - May 1, 2014.
Congratulations to the First Division, Bullard High School Panther Marching Band.
You are invited to hear the award winning Bullard High School Band in concert on Nov. 11, at 9:45 a.m. for a Veterans Day Program and Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. for our annual Christmas Concert. Both concerts are in the Bullard High School Audry Owens Auditorium. Everyone is invited to attend. The Bullard High School Panther Band is directed by Gary Jordan and assisted by Chelsye Emmons, Gehrig Blankenship and R.J. Morgan.
We thank the Bullard community for their overwhelming support of the band program all year long. Also, we thank the faculty, administration and staff of Bullard I.S.D. for their tremendous support of the Panther Bands. In addition, we give a special thanks to the Band Boosters and all band parents for their tremendous commitment to the band program and each student.
