Luncheon to include update on Lake Columbia

JACKSONVILLE — Updates on the proposed Lake Columbia will be the topic at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce luncheon.  

Kelly Holcomb, general manager for Angelina Neches River Authority, will provide updated information on the proposed Lake Columbia between Jackson-ville and New Summerfield.  

The luncheon will be held  noon Monday, April 28.

Mr. Holcomb was appointed general manager in November 2008.

Holcomb has served in varying capacities, from Water and Wastewater Operator to Planning & Operations Division Manager to General Manager, and has more than 25 years of experience.

He has dedicated his career to community service by serving on several local & state boards and advisory groups including: Region I, East Texas Regional Water Planning Group, Chairman, Texas Forest Country Partnership, President Elect, Texas Water Conservation Association, and many more.

This luncheon is organized by the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and its Membership committee headed by Kathleen Stanfill. It will be held at the Norman Activity Center, 526 E. Commerce in Jacksonville.

The luncheon is $12 per person for Chamber members and $15 for non-Chamber members.

Reservations can be made by payment to the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.  

The cost includes a meal catered by Traditions.  Deadline to make reservations and payment is Friday, April 25th.
