Jacksonville Chamber announces 42 new members

JACKSONVILLE — The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce has gained 42 new members since April 1st.   The Chamber of Commerce Executive Board and Board of Directors helped the staff to secure these new Chamber members.

The Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are: Kris Sturrock (Chairwoman of the Board), Randy Gorham (Treasurer), Tam Nannen (Chair elect of the Board), Brett Brewer, Debbie Kerzee, Nathan Jones, Pam Anderson, Kathleen Stanfill, Robin Butt, Bob Francis, Tricia Thomason, Bruce Mehlenbacher, Brittany Traylor, Darin Wood, Kourtney Bruno, David Butler, Darrell Dement, Rob Gowin, Joan Malone, Dick Stone, Alisha Tarrant, Byron Underwood, Bobbie Durham, Becky Hesterley, Mark Kusmerick, Hallie Peoples, Judy Terry and Jaclyn Tyler.     Several Texans gathered Saturday in Rusk -- not only to protest the recent federally-sponsored flood of illegal immigrants into the U.S., but to demand state officials to do something about it.
    Nearly 20 concerned citizens gathered at the intersection of U.S. highways 69 and 84 Saturday afternoon, waving flags and hand-lettered signs asking for secure borders and better action on the matter.

    A Gallatin woman and longtime employee at Prosperity Bank is about to undergo the first stage of procedures for stem cell harvesting.
    Tina Baggett, 51, became unable to work in February due to complications from multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow.
