JACKSONVILLE — A 29-year-old Jacksonville man died in a two-vehicle wreck early Friday morning, according to officials.

Joshua Page was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cherokee County Justice of the Peace for precinct 4, according to the report.

Trooper Jean Dark, of the Texas Department of Public Safety, said the wreck occurred about 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of FM 13 and FM 856, about 4 miles east of Troup.

Page was traveling in a 2003 Ford Mustang when he failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign. A 2013 Peterbilt truck, driven by Jay Cloud, 45, of Whitehouse struck the Mustang in the driver’s side, Dark said.

Cloud was not reportedly injured. Page’s body was taken to Autry Funeral Home.
