Area entities to hold regular meetings

JACKSONVILLE — Area governments will be holding meetings next week to address issues from appointing board members to replacing trucks and repairing tanks.

The Cherokee County Commissioners meet Monday at 10 a.m. in the county courtroom at the courthouse in Rusk.

Agenda items include:

* Consider laying utility lines in each precinct;

* Approving advertising for a used vehicle for the Sheriff's Department;

* Accepting a TB surveillance and treatment contract for Cherokee County Public Health;

* Approving Todd Thoene as reserve constable, precinct 2

The Bullard City Council will meet Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at Bullard City Hall.

Agenda items include:

* Discuss and act on approval of MTM Townhouse, South Houston;

* Appointing new members to Bullard Planning and Zoning Commission to replace the unexpired terms of James Crawford and Melissa Sikes;

The Troup City Council will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the T.I.S.D administration building.

Agenda items include:

* Designating the Tri County Leader as the newspaper of record;

* Discuss library board member positions;

The North Cherokee Water Corporation will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in the general office on Hwy 69.

Agenda items include:

* Discuss replacement truck;

* Report on progress of tank repairs.
