CHEROKEE COUNTY —
Cherokee County Judge Chris Davis issued a burn ban for the county Friday morning.
"Cherokee County has enacted a burn ban due to the extended dry conditions. Please use extreme caution with any outdoor activity," said Emergency Management Coordinator Ronnie Kimbrough.
The burn ban will be in effect indefinitely.
Hunt, Morris, Frank, Titus, Cass, Marion, Upshur, Camp, Kaufman, Henderson, Smith, Gregg, Rusk, Panola, Anderson, Nacogdoches, Shelby, San Augustine, Sabine, Angelina, Trinity, Wood and Houston Counties are all under a burn ban at this time.
