JACKSONVILLE — Upcoming school board elections and transportation are on the agenda of Monday's JISD board of trustees' 6:30 p.m. meeting at the JISD Administration Building.

Trustees will consider amendments to a joint election contract with the City of Jacksonville that was approved by the board this past month, as well as hold a drawing for candidate places on the ballot for the May 10 election.

Along with discussion of various items such as potential additional employee benefits and current travel policy for extracurricular activities and a bond construction project update, they also will take action on an agenda item calling for the purchase of new school buses for district use.

Other agenda items include:

• Consider/approve a student dress code for 2014-2015;

• Consider/certify district use of a 2014-2015 instructional allotment to satisfy a Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills curriculum;

• Consider/adopt resolutions for nominations to the TASB 2014 Media Honor Roll.
