Jacksonville Fire Department crews hit the ground running Saturday morning when they received a call of smoke pouring from a single family residence.
When firefighters arrived, around 8:30 a.m., they found the home, at 1616 Quevado St, in north Jacksonville, heavily involved with smoke, but there were no flames visible, according to Jacksonville Fire Depart-ment Captain Ted Hunt.
After attacking the interior of the home, firefighters found a hallway on fire.
No one was home at the time of the blaze, the cause of which has yet to be determined.
The home sustained minor damage from the fire and moderate damage from water and smoke, Capt. Hunt said.
