The Jacksonville Fire Department responded to a call just before 10 a.m. Tuesday of a woman laying in the street on the corner of Farnsworth and Devereaux.
According to JFD Chief Paul White, the woman was unresponsive when officials arrived on the scene.
"She was still warm, but she was not breathing or had a heartbeat," White said. "They started CPR on her and took her to the hospital. They said they got her breathing again before they got there ... but I don't know (her status.)"
Because of the HIPAA Privacy Rules, the woman's name and status were unavailable. The rule is enforced by the Office of Civil Rights and prevents certain information about a patient to be released.
The woman was found by City of Jacksonville sanitation workers who said they believed the woman typically walked in the area.
White said it is unknown if the freezing weather conditions played a role in the incident.
