A public hearing on the 2012-2013 Texas Academic Performance Report will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Jacksonville ISD's Administration Building, and followed by the regularly scheduled school board meeting.
According to Judy Terry, JISD assistant superintendent of instruction and curriculum, for the past several years, the district has been required to present the report – formerly known as the Academic Excellence Indicator System) – in a public hearing to allow public feedback.
Once the hearing closes, trustees will “consider all matters incident and related to the expenditure of funds for school building projects to be reimbursed out of bond proceeds,” including an adoption of a resolution addressing this, the board agenda states.
Trustees also will consider and approve design plans for a new structure for the West Side Elementary program and authorize architects to proceed to construction documents phase, according to the agenda.
Other consent agenda items include addressing amendments to the budget, an ADA Summary Report and addressing donations to the school, among others.
