CHEROKEE COUNTY — Phillip Grimes announces that he is seeking reelection for the office of Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 in the Republican Primary. I believe wholeheartedly in the process of the justice system. I will be running my campaign based upon fairness, integrity and my desire to give the people of Cherokee County an honest and fair Justice of the Peace. I graduated in 1984 from Jacksonville High School and have made Jacksonville my home. I have been married to my wife Andrea for 24 years. I have two children, Matthew and Cody. I have always had a desire for public service. I have 17 years experience in law enforcement. I hold an advanced peace officer license. I worked 13 years for the Jacksonville Police Department as a police dispatcher, patrol officer and as a detective. I was also employed by the Jacksonville Independent School District Police Department as a School Resource Officer for 4 years prior to seeking election as Justice of the Peace, Pct.3 in 2010. I have completed over 140 hrs of judicial training through the Texas Justice Court Training Center so that I can do the best job for the citizens of Cherokee County that I possibly can. I enjoy my work as a Justice of the Peace and if elected again will continue to fulfill the duties of the office to the best of my abilities. In addition, I am dedicated to ensuring that the Justice of the Peace, Precinct 3 is run as efficiently and economically as possible. Your support is greatly appreciated.
