Cherokee County arrests: Jan. 1-13

CHEROKEE COUNTY — The Daily Progress will publish a list of arrests from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office on a weekly basis in the Thursday or Friday edition.

Omar Balderas, 35, Jacksonville, organized retail theft and an accident involving damage to vehicle;

Rashad Traimon Holloway, 29, Reklaw, two counts of no driver's license, no motor vehicle inspection and failure to maintain financial responsibility;

Janna Kaylene Key, 40, Campbell, theft of property by check;

Romonica Dean King, 26, Rusk, aggravated assault and speeding in a school zone;

Jose Luis Lara, 35, New Summerfield, failure to identify a fugitive and interference with an emergency call;

Matthew Lavender, 25, Rusk, evading arrest;

Christopher Lee Lloyd, 34, Arp, driving while intoxicated (second offense) and reckless damage;

Andrea Elaine Tavares, 20, Alto, no insurance, expired motor vehicle registration and theft of property warrant;

James Preston Thacker, 30, Wells, theft of property and indecent exposure;

Michael Deshun Tilley, 28, Jacksonville, burglary of a habitation;

Crystal Ann Willams, 24, Jacksonville, organized retail theft; and

Roger Dale Williams, 69, Rusk, two counts of sexual performance by a child younger than 14.

    At approximately 9:35 a.m. Sunday,  Kayla Nicole Thompson, 27, was found deceased in the driveway of her residence, located in the 1500 block of County Road 3201,  just West of Lake Jacksonville.
