TxDOT plans work on FM 747 in Cherokee County

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Press release

The Texas Depart-ment of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge and shoulder work on FM 747 north of US 79 in Cherokee County.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform fog seal operations in both directions on Interstate 20 between FM 1255 east of Canton and the Smith County Line.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress.

Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

SMITH COUNTY

Texas Department of Transportation construction contractor East Texas Bridge, Inc., of Longview, is scheduled to begin preliminary work to add passing lanes to SH 31 east of Tyler between FM 850 and FM 757. The $3.5 million project let to contract in September 2013, and is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2015.

GREGG COUNTY

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on FM 2011 in the recently resurfaced area between FM 349 east of Kilgore and the EB IH-20 onramp at FM 2087.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

ANDERSON COUNTY

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on FM 319 between SH 294 and the end of state maintenance.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

RUSK COUNTY

 Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work on US 259 between FM 850 and Loop 571 in Henderson.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

HENDERSON COUNTY

Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform shoulder work on FM 1615 between SH 19 south of Athens and the end of state maintenance.

Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
