Elsie D. Smith Bolton - Wednesday, April 1, 11:12 a.m.

Funeral Services for Mrs.. Elsie D. Smith Bolton will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday April 2, 2009, at the Renfro Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home with Rev. James Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarratt Cemetery under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mrs. Bolton was born November 27, 1921 in Gallatin to Virgil Ulysses and Sally D. Fisk Smith. She had resided in Cherokee County most of her life having worked at the Rusk State Hospital in Food Service and at Nichols Industry. She was a member of the Gallatin Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Bolton was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Reginald Bolton (4-24-1990) her brothers and sisters and two grandsons, Steve Priestly and Jeffery Pryor.

Mrs. Bolton is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie and Nancy Bolton of Gallatin, two daughters and a son-in-law, Patsy Pryor of Jacksonville and Rita and Leland Priestly of Jacksonville, a brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Glenn and Lois Bolton of Jacksonville and Willie Bolton of Jacksonville, six grandchildren and their spouses, Mike and Vicki Pryor of Jacksonville, Jamie Pryor of Jacksonville, Randy Pryor of Jacksonville, Jerry Bolton of Gallatin, Eric and Melissa Bolton of Spring and Regina and Roger Elliott of Ponta, 17 great grandchildren and 19 great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mike Pryor, Eric Bolton, Jerry Bolton, Dale Smith, Harold Lynn Smith, Jeff Pryor, Danny Smith, Roger Elliott. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Roberts and Robert Underwood.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
