CHANDLER — Services for Oleta Ruth McDonald, 91, of Chandler, are scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Chandler with the Rev. Jeff McDonald officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Shooks Chapel Cemetery near Sulphur Springs under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDonald died December 10, 2013 in Tyler. She was born January 10, 1922 in Sulphur Springs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Chandler, and a previous member of Shooks Chapel United Methodist Church in Sulphur Springs. She loved to read, crochet and play dominoes. She was also a member of the LLC Group and the Covenant Class.

She is preceded in death by husband, Neal Franklin McDonald, and parents, James and Ruth Coppedge.

Survivors include her sons, Danny McDonald and wife, Donna, and Michael McDonald and wife, Ismay; daughter, Deborah Cade and husband, Glenn; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, as well as, Steven Hammack and Mark Hammack. Honorary pallbearers will be the Covenant Class.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to God's Open Hands, 115 South Broad Street, Chandler, Texas, 75758, or First United Methodist Church, 507 North Broad Street, Chandler, Texas, 75758.

Visitation are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
