Gerry Stovall

JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Gerry Stovall, age 67, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Vernon Lee and Rev. Jerry Carroll officiating. Burial will be at Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Stovall went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 9, 2014 in Jacksonville.

Gerry was born October 1, 1946 in Jacksonville.

Not only was she the owner of Gerry’s Boutique in Jacksonville, she had a tremendous involvement with the Chamber of Commerce for more than 20 years.

During her many years of service and dedication to the community and the City of Jacksonville, she received many awards.

Those awards include the 1996 Membership Development Award, 1997 and 1998 Ambassador of the Year Award, 2001, 2002, 2003 Beautification Committee Chair Awards, 2003 Out-standing Business Woman of the Year, and 2011 Division Chair of the Year-Retail Development.

Gerry was a member of First Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

She was a cancer survivor for over 30 years. She was a beautiful person who gave her all to everyone who came in her path and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Monk and Elizabeth Sadler; son, Leslie Keith Loftin; grandson, Michael David Trotter; stepdaughters, Kim Lindsey and Carrie Chandler.

Survivors include her husband, C.H. “Connie” Stovall of Jacksonville; son, Kenneth Loftin and wife Shawn of Jacksonville; daughter, Janna Trotter and husband David of Gallatin; stepsons, Scott Stovall and wife Renee of Troup, Brian Stovall of West Palm Beach, FL, Shane Stovall and Rosa Auguirre of Jacksonville; stepdaughters, C.J. Carpenter and husband Greg of New Summerfield, Kelly Lindsey of Jacksonville; brother, Robert Sadler and wife Sheila of Jacksonville; sisters, Jan Gowin and husband Doug of Jacksonville, Susan May of Jacksonville; daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Fraser of Rusk; twenty-eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Loftin, Shane Stovall, Brian Stovall, Rob Gowin, JonBruce Trotter, Justin Mullins, and Scottie Stovall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kirk Sadler, Toby Gowin, Brian Gowin, Ryan Sadler, and Greg Carpenter. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
