Funeral services for Betty Sue Casper of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Fri., June 7, in the Chapel of Autry Funeral Home with Steve Edwards of Central Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m.
Betty Sue Casper was born in Bishop, Texas on Aug. 31, 1924, to the late Harvey Allen Kirkland and Gusta Lula Kirkland. Betty went to be with her Lord Tues., June 4, 2013 in Jacksonville. Betty Casper was a member of Central Baptist Church and a member of Mary Martha Sunday School Class. She worked as a bookkeeper for Fox Photo in Houston for a number of years. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Jacksonville in 1984.
Betty Casper is preceded in death by her husband Charles “Chuck” Casper; son, Kenneth Whitehead; stepfather , Sam Berry; sisters, Kathryn Gribble and Mary Kirkland.
Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Lois Davis of Jacksonville, Bill and Betty Snyder of Tyler, Avery and Charlene Casper of Tyler, LaJoy Casper of Tyler, Nell Wood of Big Sandy, and Ann Green of Pasadena. Nieces and nephews, Dwight and Valerie Patrick, children Tom and Allison, Ron Snyder and wife Vickie, Deborah Martin and husband Keith, Diane Gilbert and husband Rod, Paula Lunsford, Terri Case, Toni Casper, Sandy Hartley and husband Steve, Kelly Casper, Jimmie Casper, Jeff Casper, Gary Casper and wife Sarah, Connie McIntyre and husband Bobbie, Nina Casper, Noel Casper; numerous great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Special friends and caregivers are Gene and Chris Fincher, Tina Fincher and Linda Jones.
Pallbearers will be Chad Devillier, Darold Dickerson, David Rodriguez, Tom Patrick, Ronnie Snyder, and Keith Martin.
Our sincere gratitude and thanks to the special care and love, plus attention shown by the staff of Senior Care Center. She loved each one in a special way. She enjoyed playing cards and chicken foot with her friends. Our thanks to Heart to Heart Hospice for being there.
