Dorothy Bostick, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, entered into Heaven early Tuesday morning, Aug. 27, 2013.
Dorothy, affectionately known as "Dot," was 79 years old. She was born on Jan. 31, 1934, in Cherokee County.
She was very proud to be a stay-at-home mom, homemaker and dairyman's wife. She and her late husband, John Bostick, married in 1954 and started Bostick Dairy Farm in 1957.
Dot's greatest joys were her family, cooking, baking and crocheting baby blankets.
She was a long-time member of the Lydia Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church in Frankston.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Wilma Baker; sister, Maxine Seale; and husband, John Bostick.
She is survived by her children Mark Bostick and wife, Pam, of Frankston; Joan Malone and husband, L. C. Junior, of Jacksonville; and Tammy Bostick of Frankston; and her grandchildren Brandi Derr and husband, Tommy, of Frankston; Ben Bostick and wife, Charity, of Spring; Brittany Bostick of Frankston; and Blake Bostick and wife, Alex, of Arlington; and Becca Drost and husband, Jeff, of Bossier City, La.
She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Christopher Ryan, Elizabeth and Archer Derr of Frankston, and her brother, Murray Baker and wife, Nedra, of Kerens, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wed., Aug. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thurs., Aug. 29, at First Baptist Church in Frankston with Pastor Scott Wiley officiating. Burial will follow at Frankston City Cemetery. Services will be under the direction of Autry Funeral Home.
