Kenneth Ray Carpenter

JACKSONVILLE — Services for Kenneth Ray Carpenter, 77, Troup, will be at 3 p.m., Sat., Jan. 12, in the Cottle Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.

Mr. Carpenter died Thurs., Jan. 10, 2013, in a hospice facility in Tyler. He was born June 3, 1935 in Sierra County, New Mexico to the late Ray L. and Radie Kington Carpenter He is a veteran of the US Army and married Billie Nell Foirriestior Jan. 26, 1995, in Henderson. He is a longtime resident of Troup, where he owned and operated CM Plastics, Inc.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Carpenter, Troup; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Bob and Gail Carpenter, Dell City, Byron and Heather Carpenter, Jacksonville, Boyd Carpenter, Palestine, and Ed and Regina ‘Dinky‘ Jackson, Vista Flora, New Mexico; two cousins, Larry Kingston and Kathaleen Kingston, both of Pecos; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Kevin McElroy, Edwin Earl Northcutt, Rodney Stratman, Vester Tennison, Joseph Carpenter, and Michael Tipton.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 7 until 9 p.m., Fri., Jan. 11.
