Funeral services for Wendell Scot Hataway, age 51, of Gallatin, will be held Sat., Dec. 8, , at 2 p.m., at Boren-Conner Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville, with Rev. Lester Foreman officiating.
Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery. Wendell was born Feb. 6, 1961, in Jacksonville to James E. and Mildred Ward Hataway.
He graduated from Rusk High School, worked as a brick layer and as maintenance man in the Shadybrook area of Lake Palestine, served in the U. S. Army and was a Baptist. Wendell passed away in Temple at the Veterans Hospital on Dec. 3, 2012.
Wendell is survived by his parents, James and Mildred Hataway of Gallatin, a daughter, Morgan Ann Hataway of Conroe, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Pamela and Doug Folkman of Plano, Teresa and Steve Stone of Lewisville, and Sharla and Lonny Parton of Ft. Worth, and a brother and sister-in-law, Cameron and Carla Hataway of Kerens.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Hataway, Russell Hataway, Bradley Harris, Steve Stone, Jerry Brown and Forrest Glen Meador. Visitation will be Friday evening, 6 to 8 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
