Funeral services for Nellie Pugh, age 94, of Jacksonville are scheduled for Wed., May 29, at 2 p.m. in Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville, with Rev. Larry Smith officiating.
Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Pugh passed away Mon., May 27, 2013 in Jacksonville.
She was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Panola County.
Mrs. Pugh was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in the Corine Community. Nellie was co-owner of Jacksonville Meat Processing. She had also worked a Sears and JC Penney in Jacksonville. She was a bookkeeper for Big State Creamery and Andrews Lumber Co.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Pugh, a son; Dewayne Pugh, two sisters; Thelma Hassell, and Juanita Barnes.
Survivors include her daughter; Nelda Lake and husband Lewie, Jacksonville, brother; Clifford Moseley and wife Melda, Jacksonville, sisters; Mildred Grantham, Jacksonville, Lessie Smith and Rosalie Moseley, both of Bellingham Wa. There are two granddaughters and their husbands; Debbie and Mike Leinback, and Kelly and Matt Montgomery all of Jacksonville. Six great grandchildren Jason, Brandon, Courtney, Morgan, Rachel, and Jordan. Seven great great grandchildren, Brenna, Kayla, Hunter, Kason, Hudson, Brinlee and Raina.
Pallbearers are; Matt Montgomery, Jason Powell, Brandon Powell, Jordan Powell, K.C. Holman and Anthony Hallum.
Rather than customary floral offerings, Mrs. Pugh’s family suggest memorials be made to Friendship Baptist Church c/o Lewie Lake, Church Treasurer, 708 Monroe St., Jacksonville, Tx. 75766.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Tues., May 28, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
