Esther Wyoming Dickens

JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Esther Wyoming Dickens, age 79, of Jacksonville, Texas, are scheduled for 10 A.M. Saturday, June 7, 2014 in the New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Lee officiating.  Interment will follow in the New Harmony Cemetery with services under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Directors in Lindale, Texas.  Mrs. Dickens died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in a Tyler hospice center.  She was born in Seminary, Mississippi on December 11, 1934 to the late George Fredrick and Easter (Mooney) Gingrich.  Mrs. Dickens was a retired realtor and was a dedicated minister’s wife.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville and was preceded in death by siblings, Nell Clinton, Paulette Sidak and David, Douglas and Vernon Gingrich; and by granddaughter, Britni Bristow.

Mrs. Dickens is survived by her husband, Rev. W. M. “Dick” Dickens of Jacksonville, Texas; sons & daughters-in-law, Charles & Linda Dickens of Palestine, Texas and Wade & Dawn Dickens of San Antonio, Texas; daughters & son-in-law, Danelle Rameriz of Lubbock, Texas and Amy & Gary Bristow of Lindale, Texas; brother, C. M. Gingrich of Seminary, Mississippi; sister, Olene Bryant of Seminary, Mississippi; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Dickens, Charles Dickens, Jr., Jerrod Dickens, Justin Bristow, Gary Bristow, and Michael Ramirez.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Friday at the Caudle-Rutledge Funeral Home in Lindale, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of East Texas Homeplace, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, Texas  75701.
