Marilyn “Krisy” Magness-McGee

JACKSONVILLE — Marilyn “Krisy” Magness-McGee, 53, of Jacksonville passed away on June 23, 2014.

She was born November 27, 1960, to the late Jim F. Magness I and Billie Jean Magness and grew up in Jacksonville. She married Richard McGee on June 29, 1979.

Krisy was fond of writing short stories and poetry and spent her most recent years enjoying playing with her four beautiful grandchildren. She was a beloved mother, wife, sister and daughter, and always had a kind heart, who was always sure to remind anyone she saw to please come for a visit.

Krisy is survived by her husband Richard McGee; two children, daughter, Karissa Carroll and husband Clay Carroll of Palestine, Texas and son, Richard McGee Jr. and wife Shelia Ebanez of Jacksonville, Texas. Grandsons, Kamron and Kaleb Carroll; Granddaughters, Abigale Neilson and Emily McGee. Mother, Billie Jean Magness; Sister, Kathy Watkins; Brothers, Jimmy Magness, Randy Magness, and Jim F. Magness II, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jim F. Magness I and brother Danny Wayne Magness.

Pallbearers are Philip Watkins, Jody Watkins, Clint Carroll, Roger Carroll, Devin Westbook, and Kyle Sadler. Honorary Pallbearers are Kamron Carroll, Kaleb Carroll, and Ryan Slaton.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday June 26, 2014, from 6-8pm at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Services are scheduled for Friday, June 27, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Interment will follow at Jarratt Cemetery.
