Her memories will be cherished by her children, Sherry Silvers, Gary and Nanette Slaton, together with grandchildren, Hal and Becca White, Jeff White, Michael and Casey Hanks; five great-grandchildren, Samuel and Abigail White, Nicholas Logan, and Carter Hanks.

Kathryn taught us all how to overcome the difficulties of life with grace, love, joy, and forgiveness. Kathryn retired from the State Department of Human Resources in Jacksonville in 1980. She spent her retirement years enjoying her family, friends, golf, and traveling. During her retirement years, she had the opportunity to live in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. While in each state, she made many new friends and traveled extensively in the United States.  However, her favorite place was watching the sunset on any beach or anywhere with family and friends.
