JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Neal Dyess, age 75, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10 a.m. Fri., Sept. 27,  at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with, Rev. Ken McEachern, Bruce Robinson, and Scott Cottingham officiating.  Burial will be at Providence Cemetery in Jacksonville.

He passed away Wed., Sept. 25, 2013 in Jacksonville.

Neal was born Feb. 7, 1938 in Jacksonville to William Henry and Loodie Avis Dyess.

Mr. Dyess was a retired foreman with SESCO Electric Company.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dalton Dean Dyess.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Ruth Dyess of Jacksonville; sons, Larry Eugene Dyess and wife Nadia of Saganaw, William Nathan Dyess and wife Diane of Oakland, Jimmy Neal Dyess of Jacksonville; daughter, Laura “Lollie” Holland and husband Talley of Oakland; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Lynn Dyess and wife Mary Jane of Jacksonville; sister, Bethel Cannon of Turney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Glen Smith, Grant Thedford, Ricky Sorrell, Dale Cavazos, and Cary Carr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Vess, Tommy Arrington, Weldon “Pug” Lightsey, Doc Benge, Leon Lambeth, Joe Massey, Tyre Wells, Ronnie Moore, Donnie Moore, and Ronnie Morrison.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thurs., Sept. 26,  at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
