Graveside services for E.V. Daniels, age 87, of Rusk are scheduled for 1 p.m. Fri., April 26, at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Rusk with Rev. Charles Moore officiating, under the direction of Autry Funeral Home Jacksonville.
Mr. Daniels passed away Tues., April 23, 2013 in Tyler.
He was born June 14, 1925 in Alto to Ernest and Thelma Louise Daniels.
Mr. Daniels was a 50- year member of the Euclid Lodge #45 A.F. & A.M. in Rusk. He was also a member of Sunset Baptist Church, Jacksonville, and retired from the Texas Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator after more than thirty years of service. Mr. Daniels served in the U.S. Army during WWII where he received the Bronze Star.
He is preceded in death by his wife Eula Mae Daniels, parents, and two sisters; Louise and Melba.
Survivors include his Daughter, Glenda Matthews and husband Tommy of Rusk, sister, Barbara Petty and husband Jack of Herlong, CA, a grandson Stephen Fulton of Rusk, a great granddaughter Shelby Fulton of Longview, numerous nieces and nephews.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Denny Perkins, Johnny Walker, Darrell Dement, Bo Kisinger, George Covington, Don Woods, Billy Sessions, Charles Henry Jones, Marshall Corley and Harold Smith.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thurs., April 25, Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
