Viola Louise Johnson

JACKSONVILLE — Viola Louise Johnson went home to her Lord on Nov. 22, 2012.  

She was born in Fairchild, Texas on April 15, 1920.  

She was the loving mother of her son Robert M. Johnson, Jr. of Jacksonville, Texas, and her daughter Bennie Maxine Cooper of Jacksonville, Florida.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Rob Johnson, parents Max Eisman and Freda Seiler Eisman, and brother Alton Eisman.  

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Susan Johnson and son-in-law Mike Cooper, granddaughters Leigh and Billy Godshaw of Mississippi, Kristina and Cory League of Nebraska, and Kimberly Martin of Connecticut, and grandson Raymond and Leigh Bouman of Texas.  She had four great grandsons and two great granddaughters.  During her lifetime she was active in girl scouts with her daughter and granddaughters, as well as with the thrift shop in her church in Jacksonville, Fla.  She was a wonderful painter of numerous gorgeous pictures, only stopping when her eyesight failed.  A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, Texas on Sat., Dec. 1,  at 10 a.m. with Pastor Barbara Hugghins officiating.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX  75701.
