Funeral services for Mary Ruth Stiefer, age 90, of Palestine are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Pastor Ricky Smith, Rev. Nathan McBride and Zachery Smith officiating.
Interment will be at Meador Cemetery.
Mrs. Stiefer passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, in Flynn.
She was born August 30, 1923, in Jacksonville to the late Esley and Lois Saulters.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rev. Edward Buster Stiefer; son, Elvis Stiefer; son-in-law, Jerry Pitts; and grandsons, Kevin and Corey Ramsey.
Survivors include her sons, Ed Stiefer and wife Freddie of Jacksonville, Bob Stiefer I and wife Becky of Martin Mill, Mark Stiefer I and wife Karen of Beckley, WV; daughters, Mary Pitts of Bullard, Wanda Jones and husband Ernest of Palestine, Pam Willingham and husband Glenn of Noonday, and Terry Smith and husband Pastor Ricky of Flynn; 27 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Tommy Wiggins, Jeff Malone, Craig Jones, Bobby Stiefer II, Brandon Stiefer, Mark Stiefer II, Steven Stiefer, Michael Stiefer, and Zachery Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony “Nino” Gallina, Timothy Weisser, Wesley Jones, Richard Pitts, Micky Udy, Matthew Hatfield, Nathan McBride, Linden Willingham, and Harrison Willing-ham.
Visitation will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2014 with family receiving friends from 5-7p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
