ALTO — Funeral Service for Lee Roy Selman, 69, of Alto will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Williams officiating.  Burial will be in the Selman-Roark Cemetery.

Mr. Selman died Tuesday, April 1st, in Rusk. He was born July 29, 1944 in Alto to Thomas G. and Ethel M. Ferguson Selman.  He was a retired carpenter and active in the Missionary Baptist Church in Alto.  He also served on the Alto Housing Authority Board and served in the U.S. Army.  He is preceded in death by Daughter Rachel Selman, Brother James Selman, and Grandson Daryn Selman

Survivors include: Sons and Daughter-in-law, Shannon and Becky Selman - Maydelle, TX, and Brian Selman - Austin, TX; Daughters: Connie Gill - Ponta, TX and Sally Selman - St. Louis, MO; Brother: Tommy Troy Selman - Huntington, TX; Sister: Billie Jean Coleman - Alto, TX; Grandchildren: Jamie Ramsey, Scotty Ramsey, Corey Donner, Shane Selman, Kelcie "Doodle" Selman; Great Grandchildren: Blakely Selman and Kynslee Donner

Pallbearers include Stanley Dover, Larry Dover, Dean Perkins, Johnny Dowling, Bruce Robinson and Ben White.

Honorary Pallbearers include Gerald Lewis and J.C. Dover

Visitation will be Thursday April 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Alto.
