Our Lord wrapped His loving arms around our mother, Anneliese Schubothe, and carried her home on March 26, 2013, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. Mom spent her final years in the loving care of Cartmell Home for the Aged in Palestine and her final days with Hospice of East Texas..
She was born in Felbach, Germany on June 29, 1924. She immigrated to New York when she was a child. She graduated from Malverne High School in New York. When she found something she liked, she always bought five of the items --one for herself, and one for each of her children whom she adored.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and Adolph Seybold, brother Ralph Seybold and husband Frank Schubothe.
Mom is survived by her loving children Susan Johnson and husband Robert of Jacksonville, Linda Cook and husband Michael of Salt Lake City, Utah, Anita Strepka and husband Robert of Mechanicsville, Va., and Steven Riemann and wife Angie of Santa FE, New Mexico.
