Funeral services for William Glen Walker, age 48, of Rusk are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thurs., June 20 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Copeland and Rev. Kevin Gentry officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.
Mr. Walker died June 15, 2013. He was born Jan. 19, 1965 in Rusk. Mr. Walker was a lifelong resident of Rusk and a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former dairy farmer and was currently employed with the City of Rusk in the water department where he worked for many years. Mr. Walker loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his father, William F. Walker. Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Holly Walker of Rusk, mother, Gloria Walker of Rusk, daughter, Cristal Kerston and husband Shane of Rusk, one son, Brian Walker of Rusk, step-daughter, Taylor Goss of Rusk, one brother, Walter Walker of Rusk, two sisters, Debora Alexander and husband Lynn of Jacksonville, Deedra McAnally of Rusk, three grandchildren, Grace, Colton and Calli of Rusk, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers will include Neill Holcomb, Thomas Thompson, Michael Beck, Kelly Kelton, Mike Caster, Ched Willis, Justin Shugart and Kenneth Berryhill. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Kellis, Joe Goff, Al King and Bart McAnally. Visitation will be from 6 to 8: p.m., Wed., June 19 at the funeral home.
