RUSK — Louise “Lou” Joyce Rule, 83, passed away on October 23, 2013, at home in Anchorage, Alaska, with family by her side. Lou battled with kidney failure and heart disease for a lengthy time.
She was born April 14, 1930, in Bonham, Texas, to Robert and Annie Wilson. They moved later to Spade, Texas, where Lou met and married C.R. (Ronnie) Onstead. The couple had three daughters: Sandra, Gail and Kathy. After raising their children, they later divorced and went their own ways. Lou later married Raleigh Rule in Hereford, Texas, until his passing.
She later moved to Alaska to be around her children, moving back to Jacksonville, then returning to Alaska.
Preceding her in death are her parents, brothers Al and James Wilson, sister Rena Barber and nephew Craig Hammock. All were from Texas.
Lou leaves behind a surviving sister, Frances Hammock of Jacksonville, several nieces and nephews and their families of Texas and New Mexico. Also her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren of Alaska, one in Colorado and others who have scattered with their journeys in life throughout the U.S.
Lou was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, who was called Nonny. She also had many wonderful friends along her journey in life. She will be missed, loved and remembered always.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled with the family in Alaska at a future date.
