Funeral services for Rev. G.W. McFadden, age 78, of Maydelle, are scheduled for 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Maydelle, Texas, with Dr. Edwin Crank and G.W. Howell officiating.
Burial will be held at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Maydelle.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Rev. McFadden passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Tyler.
He was born September 14, 1934 to Walter and Willie Mae McFadden in Paris, Texas.
Bro. McFadden was a machinist for several years at Gardner-Denver in Dallas and Snoke Special Products for 15yrs in Jacksonville. He was called to the ministry and served several churches, including New Emmaus Baptist Church and Maydelle First Baptist Church, where he was the present pastor.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Garvin McFadden; brother, Buddy McFadden; and great grandson, James Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie McFadden of Maydelle; son, Tim McFadden of Tyler; daughters, Terri and husband Michael L. Harper of Edom and Nina Nicole of Garland; six grandchildren Joshua McFadden, Justin Harper, Kristi Adams, Nathan Robbins, Ashley McFadden and Natalie Dignam; and ten great-grandchildren Lindsey and Kaylee Harper, Wade, Bradley, and Andrew Adams,Glinner and Chloe Robbins, and Andrew, Jeremy and Lillian Dignam.
Pallbearers will be Joshua McFadden, Justin Harper, Nathan Robbins, Joey Fabinski, Mike Harper, and David Adams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Daniels, Johnny McGregor, David Roach, Robert Greenlee and Brad Crawford.
Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
