Willie Vaye (Senesac) Rivers

JACKSONVILLE — Vaye Rivers, 95, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Madisonville.  Funeral services are scheduled for 10AM on Saturday, January 8th at The First Baptist Church in Madisonville.  Graveside services are scheduled for 3 PM on Saturday at Jarratt Cemetery in Jacksonville.  Bro. Troy Brooks and Bro. Jeff Standley will officiate.  The visitation is scheduled for Friday from 6 – 8 PM at Day Funeral Home Chapel.  

Vaye was a friend to all and she had a smile for everyone. She never met a stranger and had a kind word for those she met. She was a very loving devoted wife and mother. Vaye was a member of First Baptist Church of Madisonville and the Deborah Sunday School Class. She loved to read and work crossword puzzles and was always ready for a good game of 42. She was an avid sports fan and on Thursday and Friday nights you could find her at Mustang Stadium or the Basketball gym supporting The Mustangs. Vaye was a ray of sunshine to all those that knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her father Henry David Senesac, mother Mary Ella Cockrell Senesac, son Billy Harold Walker, Jimmy Allen Walker; and daughter Mary Lou Huggins.

 She is survived by her husband Reuben Rivers; sister-in-law Thelma Hooper; daughter-in-law Marty Walker; sons, Gerald Ray Walker, Randy Walker and wife Cynthia and Richard River and wife, Marilyn; daughter, Ruby Reed and husband Larry; grandsons, Greg Standley and wife Lynece, Jeff Standley and wife Cheryl, Jace Walker and wife Nicole, William Walker and wife Erica, Jerald Walker and wife Natalie, Matthew Walker and wife Lee, Brian Standley, Jeff Rivers; granddaughters, Wendy Lee, Meredith Jinks and husband Mike, Jamye Read and husband Royse, Mary Margaret Walker, Martha Vaye Walker, Katelyn Rose Standley, Jennie Nelson and husband Ben, Stacey Reed, Becky Clark and husband Jason; 17 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews.
