Funeral services for Marilyn Stevenson Daughety, 80, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wed. June 26, at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Dr. Darin Wood and Rev. Phillip Warren officiating. Interment will follow at Still Waters Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville.
Mrs. Daughety was born Dec. 10, 1932 in El Reno, Okla. to Robert Stevenson and Bertha Jones Stevenson. She passed away Sat. June 22, 2013 in Jacksonville.
Marilyn was an accomplished and self-taught artist. She submitted the winning entry that became the seal used for the 1972 Jacksonville Centennial Celebration. She played piano at Twin Oaks for 25+ years as a part of the Senior Ministries for Central Baptist Church and for Kiwanis Club of Jacksonville.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Olen Daughety, parents, Robert (Bob) and Bertha Stevenson, and brother, Norman Stevenson.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Jackson and Joan Sanford both of Jacksonville, Eileen Goodpasture and husband Sid of Fulsom, Calif.; sons, James Daughety and wife Suzanne of Grand Prairie, Steven Daughety and wife Kathy of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Mary Carol Brown and husband Dean, Justin and Katelyn Daughety; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Peyton Brown; brother, Don Stevenson and wife Naomi of El Reno, Okla.; sister-in-law, Betty Stevenson of Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Goodpasture, Justin Daughety, Cameron Brown, Peyton Brown, Dean Brown, and Dr. Charles Creed.
Visitation will be Tues., June 25, from 6 to 8 p.m.
