Tony Collins

RUSK — Funeral services for Tony Collins (Nubbin), age 53, of Rusk are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2014 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R.S. Dyess officiating.  Interment will be in Hendrick Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.

Mr. Collins passed away April 3, 2014 in a Dallas hospital.  He was born June 19, 1961 in Rusk to the late Clyde and Marie McNeil Collins.  Mr. Collins was a lifelong resident of Rusk and a member of Oakland Missionary Baptist Church.  He worked for East Texas Utility Company for 8 years and loved spray painting cars and other items which earned him the nickname “Krylon King.”  Mr. Collins was a great artist, loved spending time with family, helping others and he enjoyed making crosses for his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother, Billy Ray Collins, great niece, Makyia King.  Survivors include a son, Christian Collins of Rusk, daughter, Krysta Collins of Rusk, half-sister, Bobby Sue Regain of Dallas, TX, brother, Billy Joe Collins and wife Sissi of San Augustine, TX, sister, Virginia Foreman and husband Roy of Alto, sister, Pansy Simmons and husband Clifford of Jacksonville, brother, Bobby Collins of Rusk, sister, Brenda Brumit and husband Hubert of Rusk, seventeen nieces and nephews, twenty-four great nieces and nephews.

­­Pallbearers will include Kelly Collins, Billy J. Collins, Stacey King, Mickey King, Chase Collins and James Meador.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bubba Goodman and James Vaughn.  Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the funeral home.
