Marjorie “Marge” White

JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Marjorie “Marge” White, age 87, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thurs., Jan. 3, at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Joel McMahon officiating.

Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Park in Jacksonville.

Mrs. White passed away Mon., Dec. 31, 2012 in Tyler.

She was born Dec. 11, 1925 in Beatrice, Nebraska.

Mrs. White had moved to Tyler (Prestige Estates) in later years and the family would like to thank them for the love and support.

She loved to play bridge and was in several bridge clubs. She was a member of

First United Methodist Church, Jacksonville and the Wesley Sunday School Class, and was a homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her husbands Ben Strother in December 1969 and Tom White in April 2005, and brother Bill Jenkins.

Survivors include her son John Ben Strother and wife Holly of College Station; Karen Evans of Jacksonville and Sandra Siegrist and husband Gary of Tyler; brother Gene Jenkins of Nebraska; sister Nadine Stevens of Iowa; grandsons Luke Moore and wife Laura, Ben Bass and wife Shannon, and Hunter Strother; granddaughters Jennifer Stanley and husband Mike, Jill Hiltpold and husband Carl, Andrea Hancock and husband Jay, Amy Ison and husband Steve, Sara Strother and Andy Brown, and Carrie Siegrist; great grandchildren Landon, Lawson and Lathan Moore, Lexie and Chase Stanley, Carson, Jackson, and Max Hiltpold, Will, Sam, and Caroline Hancock, Ashlyn, Ava, and Austin Ison, and Cole, Zach and Mackenzie Bass.

Pallbearers will be Luke Moore, Hunter Strother, Ben Bass, Mike Stanley, Chase Stanley and Carl Hiltpold.

Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Going.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wed., Jan. 2 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
