JACKSONVILLE — Graveside services for Pauline Duty, age 86, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sat., Nov. 17, at Jarratt Cemetery in the community of Turney, near Jacksonville.

 Eddie Arrington will be leading the services, which are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Pauline passed away Tues., Nov. 13, 2012 in McKinney.

She was born Nov.11, 1926 in Jacksonville.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Duty, her parents, Tom Henry and Maggie Bell Smith, her brother, Lawrence Smith, and her sister, Anna Belle Gattis Flick.

Survivors include daughter, Paula Duty Whitehead and husband Mike, who reside in Los Alamos, New Mexico; son, Bruce Duty and wife, Karen Arrington Duty, who reside in McKinney, Texas; and sister Dorothy Grantham of Longview.   Pauline (Granny) was survived by grandchildren, Jonathan Duty and wife, Kerry, Christopher Duty and wife Andrea, Christina Whitehead Phillips and husband, Steve Phillips and Stephanie Whitehead; great-grandchildren, Nicole Phillips, Katlin Phillips, Joshua Duty and Madison Duty; and many nephews and nieces.

Pauline lived in Jacksonville nearly all of her life, and most recently lived near her son in McKinney, TX.  She worked for the City of Jacksonville and Entex Gas.

Pauline loved her husband, her family, and her home in Jacksonville.  Pauline and James never let distance separate them from family.  They traveled frequently throughout Texas, New Mexico and Colorado to participate in important events in the lives of their children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-8 p.m. November 16, 2012 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
